At GreenBranch Energy, we specialize in helping Texas businesses navigate the complexities of a deregulated electricity market.
With over 45 years of combined experience in energy procurement, utility consulting, and energy efficiency, our mission is simple: save you money, reduce your risk, and represent your best interests every step of the way.
In a deregulated market, your business faces a crowded and often confusing field of retail electricity providers. Choosing the wrong one can lead to costly mistakes, contract traps, and poor service. That's where we come in:
We begin by performing a data-driven assessment of your business’s energy profile. Our analysts review your usage history, load factor, operating hours, and seasonal peaks to understand when and how you consume power.
This enables us to build a load profile that aligns with ERCOT market conditions and the DFW area’s demand charges and transmission fees. The result: you get a clear, quantified baseline of your true cost drivers—before any supplier proposals are considered.
We research every qualified Retail Electric Provider (REP) serving your delivery area. In Texas’s deregulated market, pricing varies daily between dozens of suppliers.
Our DFW procurement team screens each REP for financial stability, billing accuracy, and customer service performance. We verify TDSP rates, ERCOT congestion zones, and contract clauses so you only see legitimate, competitive bids.
After identifying qualified suppliers, we negotiate directly with their pricing desks. Our team leverages real-time ERCOT data and large-volume pricing relationships to drive down energy margins.
We analyze contract length, pass-through costs, bandwidth limits, and renewal options to ensure your agreement protects you during market swings. Every proposal is benchmarked against current North Texas commercial rate averages to verify savings potential.
We summarize your best options in a side-by-side comparison showing rate, term, supplier, and projected annual savings. No fine print, no hidden fees—only transparent cost structures explained in plain language.
Our proposals include details such as transmission distribution utility (TDU) fees, Energy Information Administration forecasts, and expected impacts from ERCOT market volatility—so you can make decisions with confidence.
Our services are 100% free to clients. Retail electric providers pay us a small transaction fee when we finalize a contract, meaning you pay the same rate as if you went direct—often lower.
Because we’re compensated identically across suppliers, our incentive is to get you the lowest possible total energy cost, not to steer you toward any one REP.
This no-cost model allows Texas businesses to benefit from expert procurement help without risk or upfront expense.
Fill out the Letter of Authorization for the request of historical usage information — this is the document you sign that authorizes your TDSP* to send us your usage data, so we can make recommendations.
TDSP* = Transmission Distribution Dervice Providers
Here are the steps in the LOA process. Fill out to start saving today.
You download and fill out the LOA. Be sure to include your name, title, contact information, electric service identifier number and meter location.
Your ESI ID is a clearly labeled 17 or 22-digit number you’ll find on the bills you receive from your current electricity provider. It’s not the same as your account number.
You return the LOA to us by email or fax. We let you know by email or by phone once we have received your form.
We then send in the completed LOA to your Transmission Distribution Dervice Providers and request a load history for your meter.
The TDSP returns your load history to us—typically within 24 hours or less, but always within 48 hours. Get started by downloading the LOA.
